Welcome to Earl Travillion Attendance Center

Earl Travillion is a kindergarten through 8th-grade site with approximately 350 students, located in the Palmer’s Crossing community. We also serve four PRVO Headstart classrooms with 40 pre-k students. In addition to 39 classrooms, the facility includes a band hall, a cafeteria, a library, and a gymnasium. The facility was built in 1957 and was renovated in 1988. Earl Travillion was recently awarded a 2.1M school improvement grant used for providing a school-wide extended learning program. The extended learning program is facilitated on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays for all students K-8. Students receive an afternoon snack, an extra recess, and remediation/enrichment in reading, language, math, and science.

The most recent renovations are the classroom floors, drop ceilings, outside breezeway covering, and the replacement of many air conditioning units in several classrooms. The inside and outside bathrooms were completely renovated with new flooring and bathroom fixtures. Several roofing projects have been completed on classroom wings in our facility. The school focused on social and emotional learning through climate and culture, school counseling, and campus beautification projects.

Additionally, Earl Travillion partners with the USM Men of Excellence, PineBelt360, the Optimist Club, Edwards Street Fellowship, Pinebelt360, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.–Mu Xi Chapter, William Carey University, FORDETRA, and Junior Auxilliary, all of which provide volunteers, assist with projects, and after-school tutoring opportunities for our children. Our community partnerships are the core of our school improvement process. Together we are making strides for student success.
